Fresh details have emerged on the death of young promising .
athlete Agnes Tirop who was found dead in her house in Iten Elgeyo Marakwet County with stab wounds on her abdomen.
According to Keiyo South OCPD Tim Makori while speaking to journalists disclosed that the parents of both Tirop and her husband went to the Iten Police Station on Wednesday morning after a report was filed by Tirop's parents of their missing daughter.
It was during this meeting that Tirop husband's parents admitted that their son called them crying and asking for forgiveness before disappearing.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the two were in a domestic wrangle and Tirop was going to pick up her belongings before she met her unfortunate death.
The police have launched a man hunt for the husband has early probing indicates he could have an end in the death of Agnes Tirop.
"We are looking for him and are hoping that he can tell us what really transpired," Tim Makori stated.
